    I used to play rotation when I was a lad and we required a shooting player to pocket a ball or drive a ball to a rail hitting the lowest numbered ball first. If that does not happen the opponent has the option of making the fouling player shoot again or shooting the way the balls lie. If the ball is scratched the opponent can set up the cue ball anywhere in the kitchen or require the fouling player to shoot under the same condition
