This Meucci cue stick is the Meucci 21-3 Fact. 2nd pool cue. The Meucci 21-3 Fact. 2nd model pool cue is part of the Meucci 21st Century Series line of pool cues. Meucci 21-3 Fact 2nd Cue for Sale 2017
A Meucci 21-3 Fact. 2nd cue stick that was for sale in Sept 2017. From the seller: Meucci pool cue with an Ivorine forearm with blue/green pearl points with white engraving. The butt is Ivorine with blue/green pearl windows with white engravings. There are five sets of inlaid rings. The joint is white phenolic with a 5/16 x 18 pin. The wrap is solid white Irish linen coated in lacquer. This pool cue comes with a black dot shaft. It is a factory 2nd due to one or more of the inlays do not match up flush. They showed me and I could barely tell. However it did not pass inspection. It rolls straight together and apart. It is a beautiful cue. The MSRP is $900 for a 1st line line.

Meucci 21-3 Factory 2nd Pool Cue Jul 2009
A Meucci 21-3 Factory 2nd pool cue that was for sale in July 2009. This 21-3 Fact. 2nd pool cue is completely missing the white inlays within the forearm paua shell, and is entirely missing the butt sleeve paua shell inlays altogether.

A Meucci 21-3 Factory 2nd pool cue that was for sale on eBay in August 2012. This one has all of the inlays, but the forearm points are blemished. From the seller: For sale is a fully finished Fact. 2nd Meucci 21st Century #3 pool cue with black dot shaft. This is a brand new Fact. 2nd version, and the only issue I could find is pictured. Otherwise, the cue looks great! It has a 12.75mm tip, and weighs 18.5 ounces.

Info on the Meucci 21-3 Factory 2nd Pool Cue
Aside from the one below with the obvious omission of blue paua-shell inlays in the butt sleeve, other common blemishes found in Meucci 21st century 3 factory 2nd cues is a blemish or imperfection in the paua-shell points or a blemish where the paua-shell points meet up with the white composite forearm material. Here are examples of these issues. Can you spot the problems? Both have blemishes with the points, and the first one is missing the white scroll inlays in the blue paua-shell as well.
Info on the Meucci 21-3 Factory 2nd Pool Cue from The Sporting Gift Shop (eBay Seller queencarol) of Summerville, SC
It is a Factory Second and it is marked "Fact. 2nd" below the finish on the forearm. I had two of these, a 19.5 ounce and an 18.5 ounce. The 19.5 was recently sold and this is for the 18.5 ounce cue.
Meucci "Factory Second" pool billiard cues are perfectly straight and flawless playing cues but are designated 2nd's because of a cosmetic *anomaly. Whenever I sell a Factory Second, I will try to describe why I believe it was designated as such.
After my inspection I found this cue has several differences from the normal Meucci Century 21-3, which makes it UNIQUELY ORIGINAL and probably just 1 of several made this way - a real custom item:
- The forearm is an imitation ivory color with 6 absolutely brilliant blue genuine Paua Shell deep-recessed points, as is normal on all Century 2 1-3 models - HOWEVER this cue does NOT have the scrimshaw etchings at the base of the points.
- The butt sleeve on this normally would contain 6 blue Paua Shell windows. This cue has a plain Ivory Colored Butt Sleeve without windows, however it does have 2 detailed white bands with 24 separate 1/32 x 1/32 square aluminum inlays in each one as is normal on all 21st Century-3 models.
If this cue was not a second it would have an MSRP of $799.00.
