Outdated Rules

Does anyone know why the rules posted here:

  • billiardsforum.com/pool-rules/general-rules-of-pocket-billiards

...seem to match the format and content of the outdated Billiards Congress of America rules (as effective back from 2006) here:

  • bca-pool.com/general/custom.asp?page=55

In 2008 the Billiards Congress of America officially adopted the WPA world standardized rules which has a different format and content.

    Hi Matt,

    That's a great observation. This site came online in 2006 and the "pool rules" section was one of the first sections published.

    We're aware of the (much needed) adoption of WPA world standardized rules, and simply have not had time to update the content (though when responding to questions in the Q&A section, I am sure to reference the relevant WPA rules sections which apply).

    It's on the "to-do" list for the content team, but it is lower in priority.

    Thanks again for the reminder that this is content needs a re-fresh.
