What is the Quality of Beringer Tables?

What is the Quality of Their BELLA SLATE? Is it real Slate?

I found a Beringer Ambrosia pool table for $300 but I can't find any reviews about the quality of Beringer pool tables. Seems hard to pass up, so I need some expertise from someone with knowledge of Beringer pool tables.

Thanks,
Fred

Can you share some photos, or a link to where you see it? Is it this one, as seen at lowes.ca for $3059.16 CAD?

The price seems good either way though. There was a Beringer "James Edwards" pool table on Craigslist in 2014 for $700:

Beringer James Edward 8' table w/3 piece Bella slate in very good condition. Needs new cloth but otherwise, it looks really nice. It's REALLY heavy with square legs to support the weight nicely. Comes with accessories for $700.00 (asking $900 but he'll take 700).

I don't know anything about the "Bella Slate" - I have done extensive searching and found nothing other than Beringer pool table specs listing this. Your best bet there is to reach out to Beringer distributor, Mr. Billiard, at their customer service line and ask.

Here is the Beringer Ambrosia page from their current catalog. It lists it there as part of their "Premium Series" and lists it as just "slate" in the specs.

On the warranty page of the Beringer Billiards website, there is a specific section about slate:

    Slate

The slate is guaranteed for so long as the original purchaser owns the table. Should the original purchaser dispose of the table this guarantee will be limited to a period of three years from the date of the purchase.

This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of parts found to be defective after normal home recreational use only -- it does not apply if the table is used in institutional or commercial premises or under those conditions. This warranty does not apply if the table is dismantled, moved or reassembled by persons other than an authorized Beringer dealer. This warranty does not apply to any part which requires repair or replacement made by persons other than an authorized Beringer dealer.

This warranty, and all statutory sale of goods implied warranties which cannot be waived, are in lieu of any other express or implied warranties and constitute your sole remedy and our full liability for any damages whatsoever other than our obligation to repair or provide new parts as previously set forth, resulting directly or indirectly from any defect in the table.

It is listed on offerup for $300. The price seems too good to pass up I just don't want to buy junk. I obviously want a slate top table, Beringer states that it is a Bella slate top. I don't know if that is stone or some composite? Solid hardwoods 1 1/4 in. 'Imported'.

This is the link for listing I am looking at on offerup for the Beringer Ambrosia pool table.

The price is good. Just give the distributor call and ask about the slate - then it should be an easy decision.

I see the listing went to "Sold" status - did you end up buying it?
