Pechauer vs. McDermott vs. Jacoby Cues

Pechauer vs. McDermott vs. Jacoby Cues

I'm getting back into the game; never heard that before, have you...

I'm looking at a couple of different cues. Please give positive feedback.

  1. Pechauer P04-K cue with pro shaft
  2. McDermott 309 with G-Core shaft
  3. McDermott with Jacoby Ultra Hybrid

I really liked the Pechauer cue and the McDermott cue with the G-Core shaft. Perhaps the Pechauer cue maybe a little more than the McDermott.

How is the Jacoby Ultra hybrid? Does it do what they say? Also does it lower your cue ball action?

Honestly, all three of those you mentioned are from quality, reputable pool cue manufacturers, and all three have a decent new cue warranty.

So in this case, it all comes down to individual preference. You just have to get into a shop or a pool hall and try to shoot a bit with the cues you are interested it.

More precisely, try to get into a pool cue shop somewhere and try out the different shafts. That's the piece that will likely make the biggest difference in how the cue feels and plays to you.

Good luck with the decision, and of course, do let us know what you ultimately decide.
