I'm looking to buy a new snooker cue, what are the best snooker cues available out there, and which snooker cues do you recommend?

Try a Jonh Parris Champion cue. I've read a few reviews where folks say that they are really impressed with them.

Well myself I use a Dufferin 16oz and it seems to work well for me. I use this in eightball and nineball. Not much into snooker myself.

Just what is the difference between a snooker cue and a regular cue?

A snooker cue generally uses a tip of 9-10 mm in size while a pool cue uses a tip between 11.5 and 14mm in size.

A lot of snooker cues use latteral inlays rather than pointed inlays. The taper is more agressive and the shaft more bendable. Don't know about the weight, length is (if not exactly) pretty close to the same. Tables are 10 and 12 foot.

I was interested in the answer, and built a new topic out of the research. See here for the main differences between a snooker cue and a billiard cue. There is a text explanation, plus some video explaining it again, and telling you how and why you should hold a snooker cue differently.

John Parriss cues are generally recognized as "The Best" however they are pretty expensive. If your looking for a really good mid price cue check out Peradon. I have a Peradon "Joe Davis" it was around £100 and i love it.

I have got a Craftsman pool cue. I purchased it about a month ago. It is incredible, I highly recommend you try one.

Couple of months back I bought Meucci cue having red dot shaft and Ivory colored collar with thin green ring and purple blocks and it is awesome.
