Pool, darts, sports bar, billiard supplies, tournaments nightly, fun and serious. We have many cues for sale, all ranges.
Southaven Recreation Center - Pool Hall Info
The Southaven Recreation Center is the oldest real poolroom in Mississippi. We strive to give young and old, new and regular customers something to get involved in. Most nightly pool tournaments start at 8 PM. Call for current pool tournament schedules and details.
The pool hall was established in 1975. "The REC" opened in 1975 by Phil Austin, brother of Richard Austin. Charles "ROSEY" Rosenblatt and Bill Rowsey acquired Southaven Recreation Center in 1985. Bill later acquired 100% of the business
In early- mid-2021, Andy Warren purchased the business after being a proud customer for 16 years, and performed some renovations and improvements to the facility.
This is a non-smoking venue that you accompanied kids will be safe in!

- Nine 9-foot Brunswick Gold Crown pool tables
- One 9-foot Diamond pool table
- One 9-foot A.E. Schmidt Snooker table - Antique, and has the tightest pockets around.
- One 7-foot Diamond bar box pool table
- Eleven 7-foot Valley bar tables

- Two Tornado fooseball tables with monthly tournaments

- Eight TVs throughout the pool hall and sports bar

- We open at 11am mon-fri. 12 Sat and 1Sun
- Tournaments Thur, Fri, Sat. Leagues Monday and Wednesday

- Regular Handicapped 9-ball tournaments every Friday and Saturday
Weekly Adjusted Handicaps
Handicaps are under new management and will be updated on FACEBOOK Thursday for Friday's tournament. Here's a brief explanation of the adjustments
- ½ points are carried over and rounded down
- Your important # is your True Handicap
- Only girls may play as a 2
- A player higher than a 10 will give up 1, 2, or 3 games with his opponent going to no less than a 3, for girls a 2
