Cue-Nique Billiards Madison - Pool Hall Info

Cue-Nique Billiards was established in 1973 by Wisconsin native, Jerry Briesath. A well known former state champion and active player on the Midwest pro tour, Mr. Briesath twice competed in the U.S. Open. But it was Jerry's teaching style and his uncanny ability to convey the complicated dynamics of the game that gained him notoriety as an instructor. In a language and teaching regimen that students could not only understand but visualize and recreate in practice, one top- level player after another began to emerge from the "regulars" that were lucky enough to spend time with Jerry Briesath in the early 70's.

After twenty-five years of trying to do it all, Jerry finally turned his entire attention toward teaching the game. In September of 1998 he sold his beloved Cue-Nique Billiards to Matt McCabe and Larry Walsh of Madison, WI who continued the tradition of offering local players the best equipment and playing atmosphere possible.

In November of 2003, Matt McCabe succeeded Jerry Briesath as the sole proprietor of Cue-Nique Billiards. Much like the original establishment that brought pool to a new level in Madison and around the country, Matt's Cue-Nique Billiards is committed to the innovations necessary to continue a fine local tradition.
