Definition of Nit

Nit is a billiards slang term that is a part of Gambling and Betting Terminology.

A nit is a billiard player or gambler who wants too great a handicap or refuses to bet or wager any cash on relatively evenly matched or fair billiard games. Nit is a derogatory term used commonly in pool rooms.
