Definition of Group Shot
Group Shot is a billiards term that is a part of Billiard Technique Terminology.
A group shot is a shot which is used in carombole billiards, mostly in straight rail or balkline billiards. The group shot is a type of shot that can be executed in attempts to move the two object balls closer together and preferably reposition them near a rail. This leads to a situation that allows for easy, continuous scoring opportunities.
