Palmer Custom Cue Co. - Elizabeth Nj 1964 - 1994

Palmer Custom Cue Co. - Elizabeth Nj 1964 - 1994

At least out partially out of frustration with his curent employer, Frank Paradise, Euegen Balner and his son Peter setup their own shop establishing The Palmer Custom Cue Company. It was more or less a straight line forward and they met with many successes which are well-documented in the Billiards Encyclopedia, The three editions of the Blue Book of Pool Cues, and on various websites.

Rather than simplify and repeat their story here, I encourage those interested to seek-out the above sources and find out the entire story for yourselves.

I will conclude by stating that while Palmer occupies a significant place in billiards history and pool cues in particular, some Palmers are quite rare and desirable, not all of them are. Depending on condition, they can range in value from zero or close to zero into the thousands.
