Pool table in garage?

Pool table in garage?

I'm looking to buy a used slate pool table. Many sellers keep their tables in a home's garage. I live in Florida. Would the heat cause any damage to the table that could not be fixed when the pool table is reinstalled in my house by a professional mover?

Humidity is the biggest problem so I hear. I read posts from a player called Johnnyt who has his table outside in a screened in room in Florida. He picks the time of day when he plays. He has commented how the table plays fast or slow depending on how humid it is but never complained about the heat affecting his table. That doesn't mean it can't happen. Professional movers of professional installers. Big difference. The table should be disassembled and re assembled in my opinion to avoid damage. Best of luck with the new table.
