9 Ft Charles Porter La Paz Renaissance Pool Table

9 Ft Charles Porter La Paz Renaissance Pool Table

I need some help. A guy gave me a pool table about 3 years ago - I have it in my house.

It is a Charles A. Porter Custom La Paz Renaissance 9 ft table. They guy who gave it to me was a semi pro pool player in the 60's and he said he bought it from Charles A. Porter in 1969 in California.

It is in good shape, all it really needs is new bumpers. How much is this pool table worth. I have heard that new table like it - from the porter and sons company run from 10 to 20 grand. Is table worth that much or anything because it was built by Charles A. Porter himself.

Any info or knowledge would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, nchenderson79

Yes, I know history. What I am mainly looking for is value. I talked to Porter and Son's and they wont tell me really anything. They will do an appraisal for $250. I may just have to do that.

When you said, "It is in good shape, all it really needs is new bumpers." I thought you were looking for parts.

$250 for a appraisal isn't bad. A boat survey costs quit a bit more.
