How do I remove wrinkles from new pool table cloth?

I am re-felting a bumper pool table and the cloth I got online was folded up and has creases, will the creases go away when I am stretching the felt out across the table? If not then how do I get them out?

   Steam or iron it. Don't over do as you could shrink it. Resale store steams used dresses to remove wrinkles. Wife works there part, part time.
