Lighting Size For A 7 Foot Pool Table?

I found a really cool pool table light online, but it's 54" wide. Is this too big for a 7' table? If so, what size do I need?

   what are the exact dimensions? do you mean its 54" long, or is it a light made for a 12x6 snooker table?

   should be fine for a 7' table, but i prefet flourescent lights. over my 8'er i made a box that matches the table to hold 4x 36" lights and it lights up my table perfectly.

   i copied this design as i sure as hell wasn't going to pay around a grand to get a light shipped to my door.

   I too saw long time ago when Gillette hosted all the sports on TV.

   I saw in a picture of their big rectangular light similar to the one that Diamond has.

   I made one from a light I bought for 17.00 from a furniture store and then put it into a box.
