Red Felt Pool Tables?

Red Felt Pool Tables?

I'm opening a pub/billiards hall and want to refelt the tables in red. Do serious pool players have a color preference? Is red a good choice?

Thanks!

Don't know if i would use red. Blue is the most commonly used color of chalk and a "calming" color. Red is "aggresive" and will show a lot of chalk marking. I prefer blue or standard and olive green myself.

I would stay with the dark green. Red is more for a home table and blue is an acceptable alternative, you may get tired of it over the long haul. Green is restful on the eyes, and it is the color of money. There is a reason why commerical places use green. Visually, it has more eye appeal. And as the rev says, red is a hard and agressive color that you will soon get tired of.

Good luck with your new venture.

The only red table I ever saw in person was in a corner of a strip joint.
