Best Felt for a Snooker Table

Best Felt for a Snooker Table

I am wondering what is the best felt for a snooker table.

I'm restoring a 1950 centennial snooker table and I have heard that heavier slower felt is better...

I need your opinion on snooker table felt.

I always preferred a faster cloth, as you never have to over hit anything to get around the table.

Go on you tube and watch some snooker matches, you will notice how fast the cloth is.

See if you can track down some Simonis 4000 Snooker if you want the traditional feel.

If not, good ol' Simonis 860 will be good for a 5x10 American Snooker table. The slower cloth will help with position play. The pool hall I play at regularly has Simonis 760 on their 5x10 and I find it horribly fast for snooker - but great for English Billiards.
