Tired of My J&J Cue for Breaking

I have been getting tired of my J&J Cue for break shots.

It doesn't seem like phenolic tips agree with me like I thought they might.

I don't mind jumping with it but I'm switching to a junker McDermott cue for now until I pick something new up.

Anyone else like or dislike phenolic pool cue tips?

I don't care for the phenolic tips. I have so much more control with a leather tip. You might want to have another tip put on it and try that.I have heard of guys doing that and they liked it allot better.

Yeah I may do that in the meantime. I got so sick of the phenolic tip on my break cue that I have been breaking with a Moori medium tip but that's not exactly ideal either.
