Vintage cue or junk?

Vintage cue or junk?

This pool cue belonged to my uncle who has passed away. I know nothing about pool so thought maybe someone on here could help. There are no markings whatsoever that I can see. Also, there is some sticky brown stuff on it that will come off as well as yellowing from being in a chain smokers home. I'm inquiring on brand or value or anything really. Thanks so much in advance for any insight anyone could give.

Are the shaft and butt both dead straight?

Probably owned by a NY Jet fan or someone of Irish decent ;)

Sorry, but I'd have to say junk for sure.
