Help Me To Identify My Cue?

Hi there.I just bough a used cue and i have 2 questions.First the butt.It s supposed to be a predator 5k1 but i m not sure so how can i find out that it is a 5k1 (and not a 4k1).Now the shaft.it s not the original cues shaft. It has the predator logo(only the animal...) and a target print on it and the word PRO but i can t find what shaft it is(i think that it isnt laminated but maybe i could be wrong). So can anyone help me to identify the parts? Thanks in advance

    Georgie:

I think you are closing the barn door after the cow got out. You should have been asking those questions before you put your money down. It is difficult for someone to identify something they cannot see. At this point, if the cue stick is not warped and you can play with it, and you are comfortable with it, do not be concerned about 5k or 4k and the animal logo. You do not have much of a choice but to go with the flow (unless you can get your money back) if you want it. If not, good luck with it.

As for lamination, I would not worry about that. If you like the cue, clean it and keep it in good shape and it will serve you well. If I may ask, where did you get it and for how much?

A 4k Predator 2 goes for $695 - $795 or the SE Series are between $1196 - $1276 while a 5k SP Series is around $443 - $995$. That's a big gap! Do a search useing, "Predator 4k or 5k pool cues", and see if you find a match. Sounds like you have buyers regret? If it fits your game have fun. If it isn't a good fit, pass it on. I mention price only to ease your pain. If you paid under lets say $300 you got a great deal if it hits well. I agree with, "I think you are closing the barn door after the cow got out."

The cue is perfect condition and the shaft is brand new!

I only got this cue for 150 euros from a friend so no regret at all, just curiosity.

You know what they say: "Curiosity killed the cat......but satisfaction brought him back" . Glad to hear you are happy with the cue. Enjoy it and have fun.
