Billiards Teachers and Other Ways to Get Better at Pool

Billiards Teachers and Other Ways to Get Better at Pool

I'm a decent pool player, by my own evaluation, but that opinion may be a little biased.

Anyway, I'm looking to become not just decent, but a good pool player. Not really professional, but good enough to have the confidence that I could beat most people I come across. I've been trying to find teachers in my area to no avail. So I was wondering what you would recommend to become a better player. What things I should read, what things I should practice, etc.

Do you run drills to get better, or just by playing games. I am at a loss here. Any help would be appreciated.

You can start here: http://home.bca-pool.com/ They have a lot of well versed teachers some of which may be in your area.
