Which Country Has The Best Cue Sport Talent?

Which Country Has The Best Cue Sport Talent?

Hi everyone from the land of Japan. The billiards scene is quite unique here. Right now I can see Mt Fuji, but I'd love to read and share ideas with you guys.

In Japan Ryuuji Umeda got a gold in the World Billiard Championship, 2007. My question is, Is there one country which dominates the others in world championship events?

On televised pool tournaments here in the States - typically previously taped from some large casino in Las Vegas, Asians seem to have a large presence and are strong competitors. Especially in the women's play.

Unfortunately, mostly 9-ball competitions are shown.

When we talk about World Billiard Championships, remember they are but one of many various "billiard based" rules organizations. This suggests there are many champions. The question remains - of what. 9-ball? 8-ball? 10-ball, straight pool, or rotation/Chicago?
