Valley Tiger Table

Valley Tiger Table

I understand that the Valley Tiger was the coin-op standard before Global moved in. I'm thinking of buying a 7' for $2,300 with installation, balls, sticks, plus two short sticks (I'll be setting it up in a samll room), top-quality felt of my choice, one-piece 3/4" slate, the corner cue rack with coaster spots.

I just want to know if this is a worthwhile investment for a novice player. It's a subdivision of Brunswick. I believe it's going to be a great table. But for a novice, am I paying for quality I don't need? I will play probably 4-5 games a day, 4-5 days a week, easy. So the thing's going to get used. But I, nor my friends, are highly skilled. Can I save more than $500 and get a NEW table, I don't really want the hassle of used right now, that will give me respectable performance for less?

Thanks for any help in advance.
