Buying used vs. new?

Buying used vs. new?

We are looking to purchase a billiards table for our home. Currently we are considering a new CL Bailey for $2300 or a used Connelly for $1800 (incl. delivery, installation and new felt). We have had some difficultly finding reviews of these brands but based upon what we have seen, it appears as though the Connelly is a better built table. Is a new table (of slightly less quality?) better than taking the risk of a used table? We would appreciate your thoughts.

Thank you.

Costco's got a few on-line that look like a decent table for a decent price.

Lot's of nice used tables out there as well. I like Craig's List - which is how I found my table, Brunswick Medallion, 9' with tons of extras for $1,800.

Look around but be aware, a decent installing tech can make or break a table. I know a guy in Philly that's excellent. I also know a guy from VT that should quit before he gets sued.
