Brunswick Dakota 8 Foot Pool Table

I am about to purchase an 8 foot Brunswick Dakota pool table. Can anyone tell me if the slate is a 3 piece slate?

The price is a scant $500 and I believe that is a very low price. The pool table is in very good condition.

   Yes, it is 3 pieces and a good deal.

   We have a Brunswick Dakota table and the slate is in three pieces. I think that makes it easier to move etc.

   Only the 6.5 ft bar boxes and the Diamond ProAm tables are 1 piece.

   The rest of the tables are 3-piece slate due to the tables (from almost any manufacture) being manufactured in one place and shipped to another before final assembly.

   Why 3 and not 2? You don't want a seam running down the middle of the side pockets. Why 3 and not more? 3 is a few as you can do and still have managable pieces. More pieces make it harder to level, join, and fill the cracks.
