McDermott Graphite GR21 vs newer Element cues

I have a slightly older McDermott cue labeled with "Advanced Graphite Technology". It has a steel 3/8"-10 joint & collar, and can use their adjustable weight system.

Has McDermott done much to improve their newer Element graphite cues?

I'm not avid or knowledgeable in the billiard cue industry.
